The QD Fund Overview

The QD Fund awards a $10,000 scholarship through an essay-based application open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in healthcare and behavioral health fields. Structured in collaboration with QD Apparel (QD Holdings Inc.), a purpose-driven apparel brand, The QD Fund recognizes individuals who have demonstrated resilience through adversity and are committed to advancing mental health awareness within healthcare and their communities. Mental wellness is a critical component of patient care, leadership, and community well-being.

Criteria

To be considered for The QD Fund Scholarship award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Be pursuing, or planning to pursue, a career in healthcare or behavioral health, including nursing, medicine, psychology, psychiatry, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Submit an original essay responding to the prompt below (1800 character limit)
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in advancing mental wellness within their chosen healthcare profession

Essay Prompt

Mental health is shaped by lived experience as much as formal education. Describe a personal challenge or hardship that influenced your understanding of mental wellness. How has this experience shaped your perspective, and how do you plan to contribute to improving mental health awareness or patient care within your future healthcare career?

Essays should be thoughtful, original, and reflective of the applicant’s voice, values, and goals.

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is November 15, 2026.

Winner Announced

The winner of the scholarship will be announced on December 15, 2026.
